The MOMS Club® (MOMS Offering Moms Support®) is a support group for mothers who have chosen to stay at home to raise their children. We include mothers of all ages as well as those who work out of their homes or part-time. The first chapter was founded in 1983 by Mary B. James in Simi Valley, California, and has since grown to over 2,400 chapters worldwide. Our #1 purpose is to form a network of support groups for at-home mothers. The MOMS Club® is all about moms choosing to spend time with their children; therefore the majority of our activities meet during the day with the only exception being our monthly mom’s or couples' night out.
MOMS Club goals:
To provide a support group for mothers who to stay home and raise their children;
To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers;
To help children in the community;
To perform at least one service project yearly helping needy children
Our Area
The Medina, Ohio chapter originally included mothers within mailing addresses in Medina and Chippewa Lake. In 2009, the club grew and "sistered" into two clubs serving Medina, MOMS Club of Medina East and MOMS Club of Medina West. MOMS Club of Medina East serves those moms with mailing addresses east of S.R. 3. MOMS Club of Medina West serves those moms with mailing addresses west of S.R. 3. Each club has many things to offer moms from the Medina area.
Activities
Each month we have playgroups, park days, mom & tot dine outs, field trips and tours, craft days, and parties. Click HERE to see a list of our activities. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend all activities. We also conduct at least one service project each year that benefits children; but most of all we offer support and friendship.
Membership
Our dues are $20 per year; however, if hardship arises, accommodations may be made. No mother is turned away because of an inability to pay dues. We do fun things at little or no cost because we know that most families are on a tight budget. For more information on joining, please click HERE.
